Helping yourself - and making the treatments more effective... some ideas to try...
These suggestions invite you to open yourself to many possibilities including ways of seeing from many perspectives leading to non-judgemental discoveries where you are detached from only one way of being. The diversity of connections means you never will be insular and isolated with your beliefs and theories, after all they are only thoughts! It’s your personal experiences which will shape your world if you create the space to allow that to happen. Feel free to try these suggestions and see what works for you and leave what doesn't... which ones are you 'attracted' to try?
-REFLECT: Access this 5-10 minute reflection survey within a couple of days after a session to assist with old and new brain connections changing behaviour patterns and thinking processes.
-NATURE: Spend time in nature, around plants and animals. As a human you are a part of Nature and innately will feel stronger energy connections and sensations when closer to nature. Your inner nature, intuition and subtle energies will provide you with messages when you are connected and your body is healthy and balanced. Read more here: benefits
-JOURNAL: Journal your experiences, noting sensations, emotions, revelations, health concerns, dreams, messages and thoughts gained from the sessions and your conscious mindful thinking about sensations you have felt. Sometimes dreams, old memories, emotions and issues are sparked by a session, even a few days later. Journalling can help to understand your growth, creativity and learning, focus your intent and visually see your goals and progress. Everyone is different and will have different experiences and there is never one solution to suit all, you will learn to listen to what your messages are specifically to guide you. It also may help for you to share this with someone, to verbalize or write to a friend what has come up for you. I am also happy to listen to your sharing or receive an email or text as it is valuable to all.
-PHYSICAL HEALTH: Take care of your physical basic needs for greater balance. 1. Deep breathing 2. Drinking about 2 lt water a day and a eating a fresh and healthy diet. 3. Sleeping adequately for your age. 4. Exercising. Only 4 basic simple steps! So many of our bodily systems rely on these basics for balance and harmony of hormones and other responses which we may mistake as major concerns or emotional states.
-INTENTIONS: Start your day thinking about what you plan on doing before you jump out of bed. Listen to messages about any of the items on your list and focus your intentions for the day on what 'feels' really right, authentic to you. Acknowledge when I 'unhelpful'emotional or feeling arises and state "I am feeling (emotion) it is a temporary feeling (or a temporary thought)" Consider what your body needs to make this feeling transition to a more enjoyable feeling.
-BODY IMAGE CONCERNS? For those with body image concerns, in the mornings stare into your eyes in a mirror and out loud say out loud; "I love you" 3 times. Focusing on inner sincerity. The first few times you may find this strange, but keep it up for a few weeks and see what happens! Also in the evenings practice gratitude to your body. At night, rub your palms together, gently rub them over your body and say in your mind or out loud ‘thank-you’ to your body for all that it does for you every single day. (Statements like 'thank you feet for carrying me all day and taking me ...) A lovely and loving few minutes of gratitude to yourself at the end of the day, will grow your respect for the body you have been given. You are acknowledging how the human/ego part of you benefits you as a whole and also focusing on your "higher self" where you can receive the messages for your highest good.
-BODY SCAN: Place your hands prior to sleep over any parts of the body that you feel an issue with. Imagine healing energy flowing in and out with deep slow breaths, healing your body through your palms. Allow it to flow to heal and balance and consider the feelings of the healing, colours, sensations.
-MINDFULNESS: Meditate or use mindfulness techniques and frequently spend time in nature. Try different approaches you find such as yoga, whatever you 'feel' attracted to. Some interesting articles are on the LINKS page
